(Eye) Do What (Eye) Want (2019)
How do you manage and combine your interests in medicine and art?
I feel as if somehow medicine and art are connected to each other in a way we can’t explain. The way you treat people, the smiles you draw on their faces, the way you do your surgery, the way you stitch your patient’s wound. In the end, we can deliver a message through art and medicine. Art feeds the soul. And medicine feeds the brain.
Who and what inspires your work?
I would say that I am inspired by expressing myself in a way that I am not able to with words. I’ve also become inspired by watching children drawing or painting. It’s so peaceful. Also, life: It gives a beautiful sense of discovery. Life is such an inspiration.

What themes do you explore through your work?
The themes I explore through it are usually something about raising awareness or something that has to do with the current events in the world, such as the environment. Sometimes, the ideas just come up when I hold the brush.
What elements you would consider integral to your work?
Colors! Bold colors. It’s all about colors.
