Artist Jana Malaikah created this work as a metaphor of the importance of relationships. As humans, she thinks we are all connected as we need one another for support, help, and love. However, Jana also thinks this can sometimes lead to complete reliance and dependance on a person. Hence, Jana concludes one must constantly try to stay true to self to become self-reliant — to be their own person, their own light; individuality despite connectedness.
