Hana Kanee is trying to bring Saudi women’s faces and identities showcased to the public as rarely do we see art depicting Saudi women as they really are. She painted a series of Saudi women, some posing naturally and others smoking a cigarette to break the taboo that our society has against its women. She is interested in representing Saudi women as they really are through eternalizing them through art.
