After living through a rough patch in a toxic environment, artist Jumana Allarakia found herself trapped among people who tried to control her. This pushed her to ask, “who am I?” often as she started losing sense of herself beyond what the people around her asked and pushed her to be. This painting portrays the sense of loss and control she experienced during that time.
