Kan yama kanis an initiative we created in collaboration with Unootha to highlight the stories of Khaleeji women and the way they tell their stories.
Our first guest in Kan ya ma kan is Fatima Al Jarman, the founder and editor-in-chief of Unootha. Fatima is an illustrator, writer, and a storyteller who uses various mediums in her work. One of the many ways she tells stories is through zine-making, the format she’ll specifically highlight in our event. She’ll go over some background about zine-making, take us on a tour on some of her favorite zines, and show each person attending the event how to make a zine from scratch.
