Kan yama kan is an initiative we created in collaboration with Unootha to highlight the stories of Khaleeji women and the way they tell their stories.

Our second guest in Kan ya ma kan is Tara AlDughaither. Tara is a researcher and curator interested in the arts of the Arabian Peninsula. Since her interest lies in creating tools that help preserve and highlight immaterial heritage, such as sound and music, she founded Sawt Asura — an archive of the songs of Saudi women. In this workshop, Tara will teach us the definition of oral history, how to approach it, and how to contribute to Sawt Asura.

The event (which will be presented in Arabic) is on Thursday (March 25, 2021) at 6 PM (KSA) on Zoom. Kindly fill the form below to sign up. Seats are limited!
